Dear academics, friends and colleagues,

 

Hosted by the University of Castilla-La Mancha, the Annual Meeting of the European Academy of Management and Business Economics (AEDEM), with the slogan “Generative entrepreneurship, business priorities and digital challenges”, will take place form  June 12 to 14, 2024 in Toledo. In this congress, as usual, we intend to create a space for debate, exchange of ideas and knowledge for the scientific progress of the Economy and Business, providing solutions to the problems that society demands at all times. In the different annual meetings of AEDEM there has been a real transfer of scientific knowledge from the university environment to society, fulfilling one of the purposes of the University in a modern society.

 

The building of San Pedro Martir, headquarters of the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, constitutes an incomparable setting to host the XXXVIII Annual Meeting of AEDEM. San Pedro Mártir was founded in 1230 by Ferdinand III “the Saint” as a Dominican convent, under the patronage of Pedro de Verona. Within its walls, which represent the 12% of the historic center of Toledo, we will be able to debate for three days the advances and progress in family business, finance, marketing, sustainability, social economy and many other areas of the Economy and Business, turning this congress into a meeting point for colleagues from different Universities .

 

Toledo, as “City of Three Cultures”, offers the visitor multiple samples to get lost among its winding streets, admire, as Garcilaso de la Vega, El Greco, Bécquer, Marañón and so many writers, poets and painters did, its beautiful monuments. The Primate Cathedral, the Town Hall, the Alcázar, the Plaza de Zocodover, the Puerta de Bisagra and countless corners, which encourage us to think about other times. It is worth contemplating one of the most beautiful panoramic views in the world from the Mirador del Valle, or the Santa Cruz Museum, one of the most visited museums in Castilla-La Mancha.
